Here we are with another one of my favorite House duo's. Cazzette has been dropping insane tracks since Ive started listening to Dubhouse. Cazzette is well known for releasing massive hits which started getting them alot of instafame after their remix for levels got alot of play. Cazzette who just concluded touring with Avicii, brings an energy packed amazing live show to every house fan coming to their shows. One DJ recently stated "With the amount of hugely talented producers coming out of Sweden, there definitely must be something in the water, and Cazzette is drinking it by the gallon."
Heres the song, the hard hitting vocals by Alex Clare are extremely well done.
In honor of everyones favorite Swedish DJ goin on his US tour. Your favorite bloggers at Digital Dankness have created a playlist with a nice mix of all his old classic pre levels good music. After his tour, earlier in the year, had to be majorly cut short because of logistical production difficulties, almost every single stop on his current tour is sold out. All of the production errors are fixed I hope... and here is a preview of the stage he has been tearing up night in and night out.
This weekend Avicii will be gracing the inhabitants of Ithaca, as he plays Cornell University's Homecoming concert. After declining to play Slope Day last year, I guess the man found it in his heart to play for the 4,000 students who scooped their tickets in 27 minutes. This is the fastest any Cornell concert has sold out. Its truly going to be a pleasure watching studious nerds by day, and house heads rollin at night. So enjoy the playlist, and rest easy theres no levels, drink heavy and prepare for an amazing night.
Alright the Swedish Mastermind is back with this unnamed track preview. He recently dropped this at the world famous Creamfields festival in England. The great vocals from Mike Posner brings a unique sound in the EDM game but after his recent collab with Rusko for the song Shut Up, I am sold. Shut Up has been playing on my repeat all summer long and honestly thats what you need to say to a girl trying to tell you about all her problems. Check out this brand new track before its released and prepare for the full song.
so every mainstream "househead's" favorite dj, Avicii, has released his silhouettes remixes. This track showed the deeper level of this Swedish celebrity. Silhouette, original mix has a strong bass set with a nice soft vocal which hits hard. Avicii, who recently ranked 10 on the Forbes highest paid DJ's list is currently touring which will make a stop on September 27 at Radio City Music Hall. This is the first time an EDM DJ will be playing Radio City Music Hall.. which also sold out in record time. Avicii will be playing Cornell University also and other colleges on this tour. Check out the remixes below and my favorite one by Disco Fries which is free.
This weekend was packed with amazing sets from some of the best festivals in the world. Tomorrowland went nuts in Belgium, Global Gathering in the UK, Sunrise Festival in Poland, and even Identity Festival over here in the States. Here are some of the must-have sets from this crazy weekend. For the sets from A State Of Trance: Global Gathering, click here. Go ahead, download them all, you know you want to.
Welcome to Flashback Friday, because what better way to end off the long week than with musical gems from the past. Each week I will do my best to select classic and/or forgotten-about tracks from a number of genres. Since electronic music as a whole is relatively new, these throwbacks may not in fact be that old, per say, however they will be songs that, in my own opinion, have seen their "Hay-Day" pass them by. In this edition we have some all-time classics of mine so be sure to check them all out!

HOUSE: I want to take you back to 2008, back to a simpler time in the world of electronic dance music, as a matter of fact, before it was even known by the acronym "EDM". Bart B More's remix of "Touch Me" by the Bingo Players is a track that you just can't help but bob your head to with its attention-grabbing synths and catchy vocals. Although the Bingo Players' sound has progressed with the times, they should never forget their roots in this deeper house sound that works so well.

MOOMBAHTON: Although we don't post much moombahton on a regular basis, I can't get enough of loud bass at slower, more latin-sounding tempos. "Show Me Love" is a classic track that gets transformed into a moombah banger in this great remix. How is it that these soothing, melodic notes are so firm yet make me feel so wiggly? This is a question that simply cannot be answered.

DUBSTEP: First things first, Hall & Oates are the man, just look at that moustache. They pounded out nothing but hits in the late 70s through mid 1980s, but in case you didn't know, the times have changed and so have the sounds. Drivepilot chops up the original vocals and tune, adds a plethora a wobbles and bass to update this old-school classic into easily one of my top 10 dubstep tracks I've ever heard (Slight bias due to the 'stache)

HIP-HOP: This track takes us back to what I would call the prime of 50 Cent's career. 50 had success with his albums, G-Unit was establishing itself in the rap and clothing game, "Fiddy" even had an autobiography (which assumes that he actually does know how to read..?) Anywho, "Outta Control" (Remix) featuring Mobb Deep is by far my favorite song he ever came out with and the smooth, sexy beat never gets old to me.

WEEKLY WILD CARD: The last song of every Flashback Friday is going to be basically whatever throwback song I am in the mood for, appropriately called the "weekly wild card". With all the talk these days about EDM going mainstream and artists selling out, I couldn't help but go back to one of the songs that lead me to fall in love with this type of music by an artist who has received a lot of criticism for the direction in which he has progressed both musically and career-wise. I am referring to Tim Bergling, aka Avicii's remix of Armin Van Buuren's "Drowning", a song that is still one my favorites of his.
When he was gaining popularity with his signature big-room sound, he was also receiving criticism for his lack of talent in the art of DJing during his live performances. I had the chance to see Avicii at Identity Festival in the summer of 2011 and was somewhat dissapointed at what has now been coined as "Play Pressing", in other words, the music was playing, but the man who everyone came to see wasn't really doing anything to it. A year has passed since then, and I am happy to say I was both impressed and relieved at the amount of improvement I saw when Avicii headlined Electric Daisy Carnival NYC on Saturday of the festival. It almost seemed as though he was making it a point to prove wrong the nay-sayers such as myself with his long, very involved introduction to the set.
Before I keep rambling more than I already have, here's a flashback to the classic track that got it all started:
