Trance Tuesday returns once again, and as always packed with the latest and greatest from the trance world. Above is the imagery from Global Gathering this past weekend in Poland, where Armin Van Buuren hosted his signature "A State Of Trance" Stage. For all the sets from ASOTGG, as it was called, click here.
First up is a track that is currently topping the Beatport trance charts, W&W have had huge success in the past few weeks and this track "Moscow" is no exception with its bold yet melodic synth chords. Definitely be sure to check it out if you haven't already.
Next is a track I featured on last week's Trance Tuesday, but here is the high quality version of "Unity" by Audien, a tune that Above & Beyond has been playing in their "Trance Around the World" show for the past few weeks. Seriously, this track is extremely well-made from this young producer, and I'm kind of pissed I can't find a free download of it for you guys, and also just for my personal use. Anyways, you can enjoy as much as you want right here:
Audien - Unity by Anjunabeats
Up next is great track with a big room sound. Maor Levi's remix of "Mes Que Un Club" by M.I.K.E. starts with a nice melodic section and builds to a huge drop at 1:30. Maybe a bit more housey than trance, nonetheless have a listen and be sure to grab it when it comes out August 4th on High Contrast Recordings.

Lastly is a track that has been on the Beatport trance charts for a while from Argentinian duo Heatbeat. This track "Extra Bacon" packs heavy bass with great layers of synth beauty. The faint vocals compliment what is already a banger. Turn up your speakers, and end off Trance Tuesday with a bang with this heater. Download it for free right here!
In this age that is so digitally dank, you deserve a blog that gives you the best in today's EDM. We have arrived. @DigitalDankness

Here are all 6 full sets from yesterday's event. Ashley Wallbridge, Jochen Miller, W&W, Aly & Fila, Markus Schulz and of course Armin Van Buuren all threw down uniquely great mixes. FLASHBACK FRIDAY! [FREE DOWNLOADS]
Welcome to Flashback Friday, because what better way to end off the long week than with musical gems from the past. Each week I will do my best to select classic and/or forgotten-about tracks from a number of genres. Since electronic music as a whole is relatively new, these throwbacks may not in fact be that old, per say, however they will be songs that, in my own opinion, have seen their "Hay-Day" pass them by. In this edition we have some all-time classics of mine so be sure to check them all out!
***
HOUSE: I want to take you back to 2008, back to a simpler time in the world of electronic dance music, as a matter of fact, before it was even known by the acronym "EDM". Bart B More's remix of "Touch Me" by the Bingo Players is a track that you just can't help but bob your head to with its attention-grabbing synths and catchy vocals. Although the Bingo Players' sound has progressed with the times, they should never forget their roots in this deeper house sound that works so well. Touch Me (Bart B More Remix) - Bingo Players

MOOMBAHTON: Although we don't post much moombahton on a regular basis, I can't get enough of loud bass at slower, more latin-sounding tempos. "Show Me Love" is a classic track that gets transformed into a moombah banger in this great remix. How is it that these soothing, melodic notes are so firm yet make me feel so wiggly? This is a question that simply cannot be answered.Show Me Love (Morrison Remix) - Robin S -->Download it HERE

HIP-HOP: This track takes us back to what I would call the prime of 50 Cent's career. 50 had success with his albums, G-Unit was establishing itself in the rap and clothing game, "Fiddy" even had an autobiography (which assumes that he actually does know how to read..?) Anywho, "Outta Control" (Remix) featuring Mobb Deep is by far my favorite song he ever came out with and the smooth, sexy beat never gets old to me.Outta Control (Remix) - 50 Cent feat Mobb Deep

WEEKLY WILD CARD: The last song of every Flashback Friday is going to be basically whatever throwback song I am in the mood for, appropriately called the "weekly wild card". With all the talk these days about EDM going mainstream and artists selling out, I couldn't help but go back to one of the songs that lead me to fall in love with this type of music by an artist who has received a lot of criticism for the direction in which he has progressed both musically and career-wise. I am referring to Tim Bergling, aka Avicii's remix of Armin Van Buuren's "Drowning", a song that is still one my favorites of his. When he was gaining popularity with his signature big-room sound, he was also receiving criticism for his lack of talent in the art of DJing during his live performances. I had the chance to see Avicii at Identity Festival in the summer of 2011 and was somewhat dissapointed at what has now been coined as "Play Pressing", in other words, the music was playing, but the man who everyone came to see wasn't really doing anything to it. A year has passed since then, and I am happy to say I was both impressed and relieved at the amount of improvement I saw when Avicii headlined Electric Daisy Carnival NYC on Saturday of the festival. It almost seemed as though he was making it a point to prove wrong the nay-sayers such as myself with his long, very involved introduction to the set.
Before I keep rambling more than I already have, here's a flashback to the classic track that got it all started:

I hope you all enjoyed our first FLASHBACK FRIDAY, I must say it was fun to make. Keep checking in daily as we have a lot of new plans/ideas for the site we hope to continue to implement through the rest of this summer.-TD

Trance Update (3 Tracks)
Just wanted to post three new tracks of the trance variety that have caught my ear from Above & Beyond's "Trance Around the World" radio show. Each track has its own unique sound, but they all amazing productions.
First up is the Gabriel & Dresden Remix of Andain's new tune "Turn Up the Sound". It was featured as the "Record of the Week" on TATW 429:
Ost & Meyer do it again with this remix of "Hurricane". We featured another track by this duo this past Trance Tuesday, called Antalya, and this track has similar sounding chords that ease the mind while still re-energizing your body. This track has been supported by Above & Beyond as well as Armin Van Buuren and many others!
Lastly, we have a new track by Johan Malmgren with beautiful synths that get started early on
