So this morning, I was shuffling through my library, skipping everything till I got to something good, and then this came on. My good friend shmaniel schmeche showed this too me ages ago and it got lost between flashback fridays. So after a long awaited arrival to the pages of Digital Dankness, the legend Carl Cox and the remix by Foamo has arrived. This is a track I can listen to at any time over and over again and it will never get old. The simplistic intro with the gradual build up and the crisp vocals puts this track in the classic column.

The Best Of Avicii Party Playlist... 2012 Tour Edition

In honor of everyones favorite Swedish DJ goin on his US tour. Your favorite bloggers at Digital Dankness have created a playlist with a nice mix of all his old classic pre levels good music. After his tour, earlier in the year, had to be majorly cut short because of logistical production difficulties, almost every single stop on his current tour is sold out. All of the production errors are fixed I hope... and here is a preview of the stage he has been tearing up night in and night out. 

This weekend Avicii will be gracing the inhabitants of Ithaca, as he plays Cornell University's Homecoming concert. After declining to play Slope Day last year, I guess the man found it in his heart to play for the 4,000 students who scooped their tickets in 27 minutes. This is the fastest any Cornell concert has sold out. Its truly going to be a pleasure watching studious nerds by day, and house heads rollin at night. So enjoy the playlist, and rest easy theres no levels,  drink heavy and prepare for an amazing night.

Dada Life returns with this soft chill and relaxing mix to Kaskade's Llove. Dropping this just days before they begin their North American tour. These 2 crazy sweedes are embarking on a 40 show tour which has been said to have 3000 bottles of champagne and 8,000 pounds of bananas on tap ready to Kick Out The Epic Motherfucker. This summer the duo featured a free show in NYC, which was over capacity in 9 minutes leaving many unhappy fans, including myself. Be sure to see these guys in a city near you.

Its finally here it is the last of the 7 songs Swedish House Mafia will release, its definitely bitter sweet and very depressing. The video along with the release of the song on iTunes puts a complete close to a Beatles-like EDM group, who changed the sound of House music forever. Swedish House Mafia took us on their wild journey to get everyone to love house music. My mom even loves "One" and asks me to play that everytime im sitting and blasting Hardwell. Today's house post includes several amazing new tracks that range slightly from smooth and trancey all the way to the more dirty electro side of things, but I assure you they all bring something great to the table. First up is the video above, a preview of Eric Prydz next single "Everyday". Simply put, Eric Prydz, or Pryda as he is now known, has shown that he can do no wrong. After the wildly successful EP "Pryda", he surprised his fans with a small US tour, and now he is set to release even more tracks. As a huge fan of his more mellow, easy-to-listen to style, I can't wait to keep hearing from this Swede.

Here's a big remix from Jacques Lu Cont (aka 3-time Grammy winner Stuart Price) who takes a crack at Coldplay's "Charlie Brown". Definitely a fun one to listen to...

Swedish House Mafia Debut "Don't You Worry Child"

Last night Swedish House Mafia played their last UK show as a trio, in the anticipation of their split at the end of their current tour. The one bright spot in all this sad news is the release of one last SHM track, which the group finally premiered at Milton Keynes Bowl titled "Don't You Worry Child". The vocals are done by John Martin, who is no stranger to Swedish House Mafia bangers (remember "Save the World"?). Be sure to give this track a listen below, and remember where you heard it first.

Special Features - "You & Me" [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Special Features just released this DOPE track for free! If you haven't heard, Special Features is a young producer from London who has been quite successful lately in creating a unique electronic sound that everyone can enjoy. The best way I can describe it is a whiny, yet melodic synth that is addictive to listen to. "You and Me" is the title of this latest release, but read on for some of his older hits that brought him his initial attention like "Synergy" and his remix of "Strobe".

In case you haven't already heard of Lenno, he is an extremely young and talented French nu disco and electronic producer. He's come out with track after track of upbeat, funky joy and his latest release only adds to his already impressive repertoire (Check out his remix of Above & Beyond's "On My Way to Heaven). In his latest remix, Lenno takes on "Geronimo" by Fred Falk and The Knocks, keeping the vocals and uplifting vibe but he adds a nu disco and french techno feel that all can enjoy. It released on Beatport yesterday, feel free to support this young guy.

I am pleased to finally introduce to the world a good friend of mine and of Digital Dankness, Mr. Rogers Productions. A name you may recognize from his past success in the mashup business, Mr. Rogers is having quite a successful transition into the world electronic and dance music as well. Matt has all the tools for continued success and this debut set from the proud resident of Lincoln, Massachusetts foreshadows what is to be a great debut EP coming in the late summer or fall.

And below, I've posted some of his more well-known mashups, but I assure you that his latest original productions are electronic works of beauty. He previews some of his new tunes in this set, as well as great tracks you'll love like WOLFGANG GARTNER and SANDER VAN DOORN.
