EDC Vegas After-Movie

Insomniac has released the official Post-Event Trailer for Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2012. Needless to say it was quite the event, drawing upwards of 100,00 like-minded individuals who could not have expected the amazing times to be had. I was personally lucky to attend the first-ever EDC NYC which will hopefully continue to expand for next year, however it will never be quite the spectacle that is EDC Las Vegas. Tommy Trash hits 60,000 Facebook Fans Releases This Absolute Banger (Free Download)

Tommy Trash just finished playing Govenors Island with Laidback Luke on Saturday. Needless to say he killed it from the moment he walked in.. Here's a video of him engaging his fans and walking through the crowd to the DJ Booth.


Here's the track he dropped that night for his special fans waterfront at the beautiful Govenors Island Venue. This banger track is 5 minutes of sheer base dropping head banging electronic music. Keep an eye out for him as he grows in fan base, his music is becoming substantially better.

For those of you not so familiar with trance music, I highly recommend you familiarize yourself with this huge wave lead by guys like Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond who paved the way for all the newer artists of today. Although trance does have its own distinct sound, the reality is that all the sub genres within electronic music are interconnected, and the boundaries are getting blurrier and blurrier by the day.

When it comes to the best American producers, Wolfgang Gartner has to be in the conversation. Above is a video showing the extensive detail that goes into the set production for each show that he did last year, and according to his Facebook, this year's set up is on a "whole new level". The amount of young talent out there in the world of ED(ope)M is straight up unbelievable, and leading the way for all these young guns is 22 year old Artem Stolyarov, better known as Arty. The aspect of Arty's music that has sky rocketed him into the spotlight these past few years is his ability to blur the lines between the many distinct genres in electronic music. Though he came up in the trance game, guys like Arty and his buddy Mat Zo have shown they can seamlessly integrate any type of electronic, house and many other sounds into their masterpeices.
